Overlay appearance, logging, Streamer Mode, .akr pack import/export, community packs, and search.

The Interface tab controls the Akron overlay itself and the public .akr pack workflows.

Menu Mouse	Toggle	Hold the Menu Mouse key (Left Alt by default) to use the mouse in Celeste menus: the pause menu, options and mod options, the main menu, file select, chapter select, the chapter panel, and the journal. Hover selects a row, left click confirms it or steps the value under the cursor, right click goes back, and the wheel scrolls long lists. The list stays still while you hold the key and recenters on the selection when you let go. In chapter select and the chapter panel, click once to select and again to open. On Linux desktops that move windows with Alt+drag, such as Cinnamon, the desktop takes Alt+clicks before the game does; bind another key in the popup or change the desktop’s window-move key. Community packs browser

Clicking Community Packs opens a standalone browser window. Use it to search, refresh, and download community-curated .akr packs.

Upload Pack

Upload Pack is the only public submission path for map-linked StartPos, Auto Kill, and Auto Deafen packs. Akron exports the selected section, captures at least one marked room, and sends the batch to private moderation storage. Staff approval publishes the pack to the catalog and creates its Discord showcase post.

Keybind, HUD, audio, and recorder packs are not map catalog entries. Post those exports in their matching Discord pack forums.

Send diagnostics

Text input is active only while a diagnostics field has focus. Closing the form releases it so Speedrun Tool hotkeys work again.

Send diagnostics opens an Akron overlay form before any upload. Add a title, describe what happened, list steps to reproduce it, and add the expected behavior or other context. Choose Send now. You can leave every field blank, but Akron asks you to confirm before sending. Reports use the configured community upload service, stay in private Cloudflare storage, and are queued for Akron’s private Discord channel #diagnostic-alert with the full report attached. They never enter the public pack catalog. Keep the report ID for follow-up.

Block Gameplay Input masks cached directional controls during the level update while the overlay is open. With Pause While Open off, level simulation and existing physics continue; the setting is not a freeze. Raw keyboard and mouse input remain available to the overlay.

Ordinary overlay text fields support US-style shifted number-row punctuation ()!@#$%^&*( for Shift+0 through Shift+9). This extends the existing manual keyboard translator; it does not add keyboard-layout, AltGr, or IME support. Diagnostics continues to use operating-system text input.
