Internal Recorder

Recording, replay buffer, completion clips, proof helpers, encoder settings, output, audio, and presets.

The Internal Recorder tab configures Akron’s local FFmpeg-backed recording and proof helper surfaces.

The Internal Recorder is experimental and requires an FFmpeg executable. Akron checks AKRON_FFMPEG, then Saves/AkronTools/ffmpeg. On Unix-like systems, it next checks /run/host/usr/bin/ffmpeg and then /usr/bin/ffmpeg; on other systems, it runs ffmpeg from the process path. Start recording from an open level. If Akron reports that FFmpeg did not start, install FFmpeg or set AKRON_FFMPEG to its executable path.

The NVIDIA and AMD presets select encoder settings; they do not install or verify a compatible FFmpeg encoder or GPU driver.
